How the SMDP program gave Samuel a second chance at education and leadership.
Three years ago, Samuel was struggling. Financial difficulties had forced him to drop out of high school, and his future seemed uncertain. That was until he attended a TNGI outreach program in his community.
The Turning Point
Through the Students Mentorship & Discipleship Program (SMDP), Samuel was paired with a mentor who recognized his aptitude for problem-solving. With a scholarship provided by TNGI, he returned to school and simultaneously enrolled in our weekend tech bootcamp.
"My mentor didn't just give me advice; he gave me hope when I had none." - Samuel
Today, Samuel has developed a mobile application that helps local farmers track weather patterns and market prices, proving that talent is universal, even if opportunity is not.
